Warning, it’s only for people who have leveled up their cooking skills.

This months Daring Bakers challenge was a Danish braid and I was really looking forward to making it. The Danish braid is made with Danish pastry dough which is made by folding dough with butter into many layers. The Danish dough should bake up nice and light and buttery and flaky. I had been wanting to try making a multi-layer dough that puffed up when cooked for a while …

There’s nothing like a good Barbecue. The Orcs in Orgrimmar understand this, which is why they have huge bonfires all over the city. For those of us in the real world our BBQing is a little less… energetic.

Most of us have the basic Webber type grill, some are a little fancier and have the nice gas grills, and others have a full blown outdoor kitchen. And some of us are just a bit worried about cooking overlive coals and buring our food top a crisp (don’t worry, the dog won’t mind.)

Well, have no more worried. StartCooking.com has a very nice post for those of us wanting to get into the sumer barbecue thing:

It’s not as complicated as it looks. If you’re thinking about buying a barbecue, we’ll break down the pros and cons of charcoal and gas grills. For those just finding their way around a grill, we’ll follow up with some of the first steps to throwing some food on the barbie. And for those who are already all fired up, we’ve got some recipes ready to go, as well as a slew of barbecue tips and tricks. And even if you’re a city slicker like Kathy, and outdoor grilling isn’t an option, indoor grilling is. Stay tuned to startcooking.com for more grilling posts over the summer!

Here’s the rest (make sure you check out their link to the grilled pizza

Orcs and trolls get a cooling Galgar’s Cactus Apple Surpise in their starting area. And while this salad recipe isn’t made be either Orcs or Trolls, it does look cool.

A tomato and red onion salad is a quick, easy, refreshing, delicious dish that is great at midday when the last thing I want to do is turn on the stove. It is dressed simply with olive oil, fresh basil, oregano and salt, and you’re welcome to throw in whatever other veggies you like; we especially enjoy cucumbers in this.

That really isn’t the name of this recipe (The Beast’s Goulash.) However, when I told Madison I was making Goulash she told me that The Beast from Maggie and Ferocious Beast (it’s a show on Noggin for those of you who don’t have kids) LOVES goulash. Hence, we came up with this name, and I don’t remember what its really called anymore. As you can hopefully see from the picture on the left (if not, Will has it all over his face and hair), this easy to make recipe is a huge hit with everyone here!
