Cornbread- Alliance v Horde

December 18th, 2007 · No Comments

Wouldn’t you know, the Alliance and the Horde can’t even agree on cornbread! That’s right; the Alliance likes their cornbread thick, yellow, and sweet, while the Horde likes theirs thin, white, and completely without sugar.

Alliance style Moist Cornbread is thick, golden yellow, and moist. It has a slightly sweet, rich corn flavor. You might almost consider it to be corn cake. (Especially if you are Horde.)

The Horde takes pride in its style of cornbread. The Horde version of cornbread is a coarse bread that is always best when made in a cast iron skillet.  It is made from white corn meal with no sugar, and it is excellent with hearty soups and stews. Try it with our recipe for Heavy Kodo Stew, another favorite Horde dish. Horde cornbread is a stark contrast to the sweet, thick, almost dessert-like Alliance version of cornbread.  (The Horde considers the Alliance version to be just a sissy dessert.)

In fairness to both sides you’ll find both versions in the Original and Strictly Unofficial World of Warcraft Cookbook.
